How Donations Work on Andrea

Andrea is built on transparency, accountability, and trust.

When a donor contributes to a medical case on Andrea, the donated funds do not go to individuals. Instead, the money is sent directly into the verified hospital’s wallet or account associated with that patient’s treatment. This ensures that every donation is used strictly for medical care.

Immediately after a donation is made, automated notifications are sent to:

  • The verified hospital
  • The partnered NGO handling oversight
  • The patient’s registered guardian

These notifications clearly state the amount donated and the case it supports, ensuring that all parties are informed in real time.

When the hospital makes a withdrawal to apply the funds toward treatment, another notification is sent to the same three parties. This keeps everyone aware of how and when funds are being used, creating full visibility and accountability throughout the process.

Platform Maintenance & Sustainability

To maintain the platform, support verification processes, and ensure secure operations, Andrea retains a 3% platform maintenance fee from each donation.

However, our goal is impact — not profit.

Once Andrea meets its annual operational target of $60,000 through direct donations to the platform, the 3% charge will be completely waived for the rest of that year, allowing 100% of all donations to go directly toward patient care.

Why This Matters

This structure:

  • Eliminates misuse of funds
  • Prevents fake or unverified cases
  • Keeps donors, hospitals, NGOs, and families fully informed
  • Ensures life-saving care is delivered faster

By donating through Andrea, you’re not just giving — you’re helping build a transparent, trusted system that delivers aid to those who need it most.

Help us provide aid to those in need. Together, we can save lives.
